Handoffs

Handoffs is a weekly roundup of sports stories and blog posts gathered from around the interwebs that we find interesting, informative, and entertaining.

MLS has passed the NHL and NBA in attendance.

Speaking of MLS, Adam Vaccaro has started a new MLS blog called Six States, One Blog.

The Indiana Pacers want lots of money for a new arena and threaten to go all Oklahoma City Supersonics if they don't get it. Field of Schemes has the info, as it always does.

Ted, who also writes for Pitchers and Poets, has started a new blog called Every Day Ichiro. It's exactly what it sounds like and has quickly become one of my favorite blogs.

In case you missed it, the Portland Trailblazers and Golden State Warriors played a crazy messed up final game of the season. The story going in was that the Blazers starting lineup was completely different than the lineup in the season's first game. The story going out involved Don Nelson, a bunch of injuries (amazingly, not for Portland), referees, fouls, and a bunch of other crazy stuff. Luckily, Hardwood Paroxysm broke it down in terms I could understand.

A high school in Texas will be getting a $60 million stadium.

Both Teams Played Hard reminds us that Hedo says "Ball."
